CALEA FLORA : A Home For Oneiric Education; Dream Studies And Practices From Indigenous Traditions To Modern Oneirology. The name is inspired by the cosmologies of indigenous México that symbolically view a persons unique spirit, as a flower (Sewa) in the Yaqui-Mayo language. According to the tradition, when many people gather in a ceremonial sense, putting their ‘flowers’ together, it creates a (Seataka) or a body of flowers, which alludes to a group of people who are ceremonially active or on a collective spiritual mission, this is what Calea Flora is. The name is also linked to the dream herb Calea Zacatechichi which we have been working closely with here in Oaxaca.

Feathered Coyote (Our Logo) : The Zapotec indigenous call the coyote peeza-yache (the yellow coyote) and according to ancient Mexican mythos the coyote was symbolic for the engendering principle (that which gives rise to something) in fact, “uno flor coyote” was a metaphorical name for the Divine Creator it was also significant of the highest heaven or the milky way.
